Commuting on the train to work had me buying a new book once a week. I absoltuely love the Kindle. It is cost effective, and small and light to carry around. I thought I would miss holding books or having them to display in my home. However, the Kindle is actually very comfortable to hold and is designed to make reading comfortable. And I have been able to reduce a lot of clutter in my home by buying all new books digitally.

I live in a semi-rural area, where most folks just aren't into recycling. Actually, I think that a lot are aware of the resources available in our area.
So, I've started a little website that is a work in progress and am trying to get the word out that way.

I can't wait to try this product! I'm always looking for make-up products that are not tested on animals - and coupling that with going green is right up my alley! I've tried a few other products this site has recommended with great success! I'm sure I'll be adding this product to my new list of green favorites. Thanks for the great tip, Her Guide to Green!

This is a great idea! Growing up, I looked forward to the days when a family friend would clean out her closet and send me a bag of her hand-me-downs.

In addition to donating your used clothes, a store that I have been visiting called Plato's Closet will also offer cash for clothing that is in good shape.

I will go in and sell my used, but nice, clothing and use the money to buy more clothes from the store. Just purchased a pair of Seven jeans for $20. Can't beat that!!

In Mysore, India, we run a blog dedicated to tree planting. Friends of Roadside Trees is about taking care of your neighbourhood trees; celebrating life by planting trees on available public space.
